Who are Foster Grandparents

Foster Grandparents are individuals age 55+ living on moderate to low income.  Foster Grandparents serve as tutors in local schools helping children with literacy skills, math assistance and other subjects.

Foster Grandparents receive a monthly stipend for their service.  This stipend is not considered income and will not affect any income based services the senior may be receiving such as housing, food services or prescription help
