Senior Companion Program
Serve as a friend and companion by providing assistance and friendship to seniors who have difficulty with daily living tasks. The program aims to keep seniors independent longer, and provide respite to family caregivers.

About the Senior Companion Program
The Senior Companion program connects volunteers age 55+ with older adults who need extra support to live independently. Volunteers provide one-on-one companionship, help with daily tasks, offer limited transportation to appointments, and give caregivers a much needed break through respite care. Senior Companions receive a modest, tax-free stipend along with training and other benefits that support their service.

One caregiver shared how her Senior Companion volunteer has brought patience, understanding, and comfort to her mother with dementia. The volunteer’s consistent visits have eased daily challenges, reduced her mother’s agitation, and brought relief and peace to the whole family.
"The volunteer has been a patient angel to my mother. I am so grateful for her kindness to my mom, which is a beautiful kindness to me."
